Charles Crossley
Subjective Abstract
McComb Mississippi

Art is a love affair He paints and draws what he knows. He is inspired with art as a part of living. His work identifies with life of the past and the present. He says we all can identify with shopping at the markets or watching musicians perform. He expresses a sincere response to the world around him and what he feels and thinks about what he sees. His reaction to living is the life itself, complex and rich. He best expresses these emotions and thoughts in a variety of media. Mixed media collages, Monotypes, lithographs, acrylic painting, watercolors, oil painting and metal sculpture. Beyond his significant powers of observation Mr. Crossley’s individual style and his connection to artists of the past, Pablo Picasso, Romare Bearden and Jacob Lawerance has been a key influence on his development as an artist. For four decades his work has been shown in galleries, Museums, Solo and Group shows and Art festivals. His work has been collected in private collections and corporate collections on a national and international level.
